Downtown Lima and Catacombs

Get acquainted with the rich regal history of Lima on an educational sightseeing tour of the Peruvian capital, descend to the eerie catacombs of San Francisco Monastery and admire the ancient Dominicans Tower. Enrich your knowledge of Lima’s fascinating past on this enriching excursion.

DESCRIPTION AND RECOMMENDATIONS

Our tour begins in one of the most anchient temples of Lima, “La Merced” church where we could see a great Barroco style look of XVII century, after that we’ll walk for the traditional “Jirón de la Unión”, we’ll visit the first photography studio of the city that was opened in 1865.

We’ll visit the “Plaza de armas” of Lima, a traditonal point full of history, the goberment palace, the Catedral, the ornamental fond, the Santo Domingo church and the “Chabuca Granda” square a point where many artistic events take place, “La Muralla” park and finally the amazing  San Francisco convent built in XVII century, where we’ll go down to the catacombs
